About Us

       By the Providence of God, S.D. started her first mission in the land of Tamil nadu in the year 1966, December 28 in the diocese of Madras -Mylapore, beginning to work in Bethany priest home. After 46 years of service in different parts of Tamil nadu, in the year 2010 september 8, Santhome Region came in to existence. Regional house is in Veerapuram,in Chennai, near Avadi. 2017 Hosur Diocese came in to existence and now 7 convents are under this Diocese. All together there are 9 convents under this region. We are working in 4 Diocese- Hosur, Vellore, Chengelpettu, and Ooty. We have 28 sisters working here. Among them, 22 are permanently opted and are from the province. There is 6 sisters from this region and 4 finally professed.
